Coffea Arabica

Who am I?
Hello, my name is Coffea Arabica. Many people love the seeds in my fruits, coffee beans. If you take good care of me, coffee beans can grow.

Where do I come from?
I am originally from Ethiopia, and from there I first went to the Arab countries and then spread to the rest of the world.

How big will I get?
In my natural habitat I can grow up to 5 meters high. When you plant me in a medium sized pot I will grow to about 30 cm high.

How much do I want to drink?
I grow well in slightly moist soil, so make sure my soil never dries out. I also like it when you give me a nice spray, especially in autumn and winter. The spray keeps my foliage shiny and prevents dust from building up on my leaves. This ensures that I can absorb sunlight well, so I develop myself faster.

Where do I want to be and what temperatures do I like?
I love a lot of sunlight, but I don’t like direct sunlight very much in the beginning. Keep me 2 to 3 meters away from the window in the beginning. The older I get, the closer you can put me to the window. Be careful in the summer when I’m close to the window, it can quickly get too hot. In the winter, on the other hand, I like to get a warm spot by the window!

Step 1: Place the coco tablets in the pot and pour 200 ml of water on it.

Step 2: Soak the seeds in lukewarm water for 24 hours.

Step 3: plant two seeds as deep as they are large, make sure the seeds
are completely covered with soil. It may also be a lack of water, but this is usually not the case. You can keep the other seeds if the seeds do not germinate after the indicated period.

Step 4: Wrap the pot with cling film and put the jar in a warm, bright place.

Step 5: keep the soil moist during the germination time.

Step 6: give your plant(s) a name!

Step 7: wait, this plant takes about 3 months to germinate
